RIP Dominick Dunne. I was a huge fan of his insider gossipy column for Vanity Fair and looked forward to it every month. I owe my first blog to him as I tried to emulate his style, turning all my friends into aliased mega-versions of themselves, casting us all into a Great Gatsby production of debauchery and fortune that became hugely popular even though nobody knew who was writing it. Boo death.
